INFRASTRUKTUR
So muß z.B.

TIMELINE
Erich Hotter, certified mountain and ski guide, sees himself able to cope with the extreme high alpine conditions in the course of the Hintertux glacier development and builds Austria’s highest managed private hut on a rock head on the Riepensattel – embedded by the eternal ice of the Riepenkees and Tuxerkees – the foundation stone has been laid.
The hut that was built at that time offers space for up to 40 people and had neither water nor electricity.
The required water was delivered in canisters every day using a snow vehicle, as were the food and heating supplies.
1982
As a result of the rapid expansion of the skiing and hiking area Hintertux Glacier, a new larger glacier hut is being built.
This hut already offers space for 90 guests and is adapted to the current state of the art.
1990
On March 1, 1990, the hut fell victim to violent gusts of wind (more than 200 km / h were measured), which resulted in a complete roof renewal.
After this storm damage, the hut is repaired by Erich Hotter and his son Gerhard and put back into operation just one month after the damage.
1999
Erich Hotter hands over the glacier hut to his son Gerhard.
2002
A drinking water treatment plant is planned and put into operation in autumn.
2003
Gerhard Hotter decides to carry out a general renovation and to expand the basement and the viewing terrace; During this renovation, among other things, the toilet facilities, storage rooms, staff rooms and dining rooms will be renewed.
